Iontoretina – Innovative liposomal solution with lutein

• Scleral iontophoresis uses a low-intensity electric current (2.5 mA/min) to facilitate the penetration of lutein through the sclera to the level of the retina and the macula, respectively.
• Liposomes loaded with lutein allow for controlled release and increased bioavailability at the retinal level.
• Lutein acts as an antioxidant and phototoxic protector, reducing oxidative stress and damage to photoreceptor cells caused by exposure to blue light.
