What is ODM 5?
ODM 5 is an ophthalmic solution hyperosmolar, intended for the reduction of corneal edema caused by corneal dystrophies, trauma, or surgical interventions.
Its formula combines the osmotic effect of 5% sodium chloride with the lubricating and protective properties of sodium hyaluronate, to improve ocular comfort. It is a medical device.
How does it work?
• 5% Sodium chloride → osmotic effect, reduces excess fluid accumulated in the cornea
• 0.15% Sodium hyaluronate → lubricates and protects the ocular surface
• Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose → improves viscosity and maintains hydration

• Trisodium citrate dihydrate, Citric acid monohydrate, Hydroxypropyl methylcellulose, Purified water
When is ODM5 recommended?
ODM5 is indicated for:
• reducing corneal edema that occurs in corneal dystrophies or certain ocular pathologies
• post-traumatic or post-operative edema
How is it used?
• Instill 1–2 drops 4 times a day, into the conjunctival sac, as recommended by your doctor
• After instillation, keep the eye closed for 1–2 minutes for better efficacy
• Contact lenses must be removed before use and can be reapplied after 15 minutes
Contraindications:
• Hypersensitivity to any of the components
Adverse reactions:
• Mild and transient reactions may occur (burning, sensation of a foreign body, temporary blurred vision)
• If severe reactions occur, discontinue use and inform your doctor
Storage conditions:
• Store at temperatures between 2–25°C
• Keep out of reach of children
• Use within 3 months of opening
• Do not use after the expiration date
Warnings and precautions:
• Do not use the product if you are allergic to any of the components
• Do not use if the bottle is damaged
• The product is not compatible with contact lenses during application
• Avoid touching the tip of the dropper to the eye or other surfaces to prevent contamination
• May temporarily cause a sensation of discomfort or blurred vision immediately after administration
• In case of adverse reactions, stop use and consult your doctor
