What is OFTASECUR?
OFTASECUR is an ocular spray with a protective and soothing effect for the external part of the eye and the periocular area which, thanks to its patented formulation, helps to prevent and control infections and offers relief in case of ocular and eyelid irritation of infectious origin. It is a medical device.
How does it work?
• Biosecur (liposomes from citrus extract, with bioflavonoids) → proven antimicrobial activity, reducing the risk of infection
• Hypromellose → cellulose derivative with viscoelastic and hygroscopic properties, keeps the ocular area hydrated
• Phospholipids S80 → contributes to the balancing and stabilization of the solution and to better bioavailability of Biosecur
What does it contain?
100 ml of solution contains:
• Biosecur 2 g
• Hypromellose 0.15 g
• Phospholipids S80
• Boric acid
• Sodium tetraborate decahydrate
• Sodium chloride
• Distilled water
When is OFTASECUR recommended?
OFTASECUR is recommended for:
• reducing eyelid and ocular irritation associated with ocular and periocular infectious processes
• prevention of ocular and periocular infections
• adjuvant ocular hygiene, including in ophthalmic surgery (pre- and post-operative)
Can also be used while wearing contact lenses.
How to use?
• Remove eye makeup before use
• Spray once or twice onto closed eyelids, from a distance of ~10 cm
• Administer 3–4 times a day
• Avoid direct contact of the nebulizer with the skin or the edge of the eyelids
Warnings and precautions:
• Do not use in case of allergy or hypersensitivity to any of the components
• For external ophthalmic use only
• Do not spray into the open eye
• Do not touch the surface of the eye with the nebulizer
• Use within a maximum of 60 days from the first opening
• Do not use after the expiration date or if the bottle is damaged
• Close the bottle tightly after use
• Leave an interval of at least 10 minutes between administrations if using multiple ophthalmic products
• Store in a dry, cool place, protected from direct light
• Keep out of reach of children
• In case of adverse reactions, stop use and consult a doctor
